Can't I get this from the Secretary of State?
You can look businesses up one at a time. LeadSweep brings the new ones together by ZIP code every week, from federal registrations, city and county permits and new business listings, each with its date and source, and nobody else in your ZIP gets it.
Don't a lot of new businesses fail?
About four in five private businesses make it past their first year (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics), and the ones that last add employees, trucks and locations, which means workers' comp, commercial auto and bigger limits.
Where does the data come from?
Public records: the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's carrier registrations, the federal NPI registry of medical practices, city and county beer and building permits (Nashville today, more as we add them), the business filings some states publish, and new business listings. It is publicly available business information, and every lead names its source.
Is AdLogic an insurance agency?
No. AdLogic never contacts a business for you and never sells, solicits or negotiates insurance. You choose who to contact, and you send every email and make every call yourself. The subscription is a flat monthly price that never depends on whether you write a policy.
What does one agency per ZIP mean?
While your subscription is active, no other insurance agency using LeadSweep can choose your ZIP codes. It does not stop agents who don't use LeadSweep from working there, and it does not promise any number of leads.
Does it say whether a business already has insurance?
No. It never says or guesses that a business is uninsured. It tells you when the business opened, what kind of business it is, and who will ask it for coverage.
