AI Visibility & Entity SEO · Nashville & Middle Tennessee

When your customers ask AI who to hire, does it say your name?

Nearly half of U.S. consumers now ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google's AI for a local business recommendation before they call anyone. The assistants name three or four businesses and the rest are invisible. AdLogic measures exactly who gets named in your market, shows you why it isn't you yet, and builds the entity foundation that changes the answer.

What actually happens

An AI assistant doesn't rank your website. It decides whether it can trust you exist.

When someone types "who's the best HVAC company in Murfreesboro" into ChatGPT or Google's AI Mode, the assistant does not scan a list of web pages and pick the prettiest one. It searches, reads a handful of sources in a few seconds, and then asks itself a much simpler question about every business it encounters: can I identify this business with confidence, and do independent sources agree it is good at this specific thing in this specific place?

The sources it reads are predictable: your Google Business Profile, review platforms like Yelp, Angi and BBB, industry directories, local "best of" lists, Reddit threads, news mentions, and your own website. If those sources describe the same business in the same words, the assistant treats you as a single, real entity and can recommend you. If they disagree, if your listing says one phone number and your site says another, if Google files you under "General contractor" while you are actually an HVAC company, or if your site can't be read by a crawler at all, the assistant simply moves on to a competitor it is sure about.

In our own sampling of Middle Tennessee markets, businesses with 900+ five-star reviews were named in zero of nine AI answers while competitors with a third of the reviews were named in seven of nine. The difference was never the quality of the work. It was whether the assistant could identify the business and find other sources vouching for it.

The core of the work

Entity creation: turning your business into something AI can identify, verify and recommend

An entity is a thing the web agrees on: one business, one name, one address, one phone number, one set of services, one owner, described the same way everywhere it appears. Search engines have built their knowledge graphs on entities for a decade. AI assistants inherit that thinking and go further, because they have to write a sentence about you. A model will not put a business in a sentence it can't back up.

Most websites, even good-looking ones, were never built to be an entity. They were built to be a brochure. Entity creation is the set of changes that lets machines identify you without doubt. These are the six pillars we audit and build:

01

One identity, everywhere

Your name, address, phone number and hours must match character-for-character across your website, Google, Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, Facebook, BBB and every directory. Contradictions are the fastest way to lose an AI's confidence.

Real finding: a call-tracking phone number on the website that differs from the Google listing. The site looks fine to a human and reads as two different businesses to a machine.
02

A complete, specific Google Business Profile

The primary category is the single most important field a local business controls. Add services, attributes, service areas, photos, Q&A and a description that names what you do and where. Answer reviews. The profile is the first thing every AI reads.

Real finding: HVAC companies filed under "General contractor". When a customer asks for an HVAC company, the assistant never connects the two.
03

Structured data that names the entity

Schema.org markup (LocalBusiness or ProfessionalService, Person, Service, FAQ) on your site tells crawlers and models exactly who you are, links your profiles together with sameAs, and states your services and areas in a form machines don't have to guess at.

Real finding: schema left over from a website template, still naming the theme demo or a staging domain as the business.
04

Entity pages: About, team, services, areas

A real About page with real people, credentials, founding year and history. One page per core service and one per key city, written to answer the question a customer would actually ask. Assistants cite pages that answer a question directly.

Real finding: a roofer with 400 reviews and a single page that says "we do it all". No page to cite for "roof replacement in Franklin", so a competitor with that page gets named.
05

Corroboration from the sources AI reads

Being listed, and described consistently, on the directories, review sites, associations and local best-of lists the assistants actually cite for your category. Our analysis shows you which sources named your competitors and never named you. That list becomes the campaign.

Real finding: for Nashville HVAC, Angi, Expertise.com, BBB and Reddit were cited in answers naming competitors, and never in one naming the business we audited.
06

A site machines can actually read

Plain HTML content, no bot-blocking firewall, no content that only appears after scripts run, fast on mobile, with an llms.txt and a clean sitemap. If the crawler behind the assistant gets a 403, everything else on this list is invisible.

Real finding: sites behind aggressive bot protection returned "access denied" to every automated visitor, including the ones that feed AI answers.

Reviews still matter enormously, and so does being genuinely good. Entity creation doesn't replace that. It makes sure the reputation you already earned is legible to the systems your customers are now asking.

The free AI Visibility Analysis

Submit the contact form with your business name, city and website. Within a few business days you get a written, dated report, built from real measurements, not a sales script. It covers:

  • A sample of real AI answers for your industry and city across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity — the "who should I hire" and "who's the best" questions your customers ask
  • How often you were named, versus every competitor the assistants named instead — with their review counts and ratings next to yours
  • What the businesses named ahead of you have in common — and the ones that get named with fewer reviews than you
  • The sources the assistants cited — and which ones vouched for a competitor but never for you
  • An entity clarity audit of your website and Google profile — identity consistency, profile completeness, structured data, entity pages, crawlability
  • Service coverage gaps — the services and cities you sell but have no page for
  • A full technical and on-page SEO check — speed, mobile, indexing, titles, broken links (see SEO audits)
  • A written plan: what to fix now, in 30 days, and ongoing — whether or not you hire us to do it
How we keep this honest. AI answers change from one conversation to the next, so every result is a dated sample with a range, never a single "ranking". The API versions of these assistants approximate the consumer apps closely but not perfectly, and we say so on the report. We measure visibility, we do not estimate revenue, and we never buy or fabricate reviews.

If you want it fixed

Audit → Entity Foundation → Recommendation Program

01

Audit

The free analysis above, plus a call to walk through it. You leave with a plan you can hand to anyone.

02

Entity Foundation

One-time work that makes you identifiable everywhere:

  • Google Business Profile rebuilt around the right categories and services
  • Name, address, phone and hours corrected across every listing
  • Structured data, About, team, service and area pages
  • A hand-built website when the current one can't carry it
03

Recommendation Program

Monthly work that earns and keeps the recommendation:

  • The same AI questions re-sampled every month, with a dated before/after
  • Review velocity: ethical, steady review generation
  • Corroboration campaign on the sources the assistants cite
  • New service and area content as gaps appear
  • Quarterly report your accountant would accept

Pricing is scoped per business after the analysis, because a business with a clean profile and a missing page needs something very different from one that is invisible on every source. You will know the number before any work starts, and you will always own everything we build.

Best fit

Who this is built for

Home services

Roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, remodeling, landscaping. High-ticket, high-trust, and the categories where "who should I call" is asked most.

Medical, dental & legal

Practices and firms where the recommendation is the whole decision, and where a wrong phone number in an AI answer is a real problem.

Established local businesses

You already have the reviews and the reputation. The gap between how good you are and how visible you are to AI is exactly the gap we close.

Questions

AI visibility, answered plainly

Whether AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode) name your business when someone asks a question you should be the answer to, such as "who is the best roofer in Franklin, TN". We measure it by asking those engines the real questions customers ask, repeatedly, and recording who gets named.
Search engines rank pages. AI assistants recommend entities. About 70% of the work overlaps with modern local SEO (Google Business Profile, reviews, site structure), which is why our SEO audit is part of every analysis. The other 30% is new: making your business a clear, verifiable entity, earning corroboration on the sources AI reads, and measuring answers month by month instead of rankings.
Some of what's written about "AI SEO" is. Two things aren't: 45% of consumers now use AI for local recommendations, and the assistants demonstrably favour businesses with consistent identities and third-party corroboration. We only sell what we can measure. If your analysis shows you're already named everywhere, we'll tell you that and you'll owe us nothing.
Entity fixes (profile, listings, structured data, site pages) are usually done within the first month. Answers are re-sampled monthly so movement is measured, not assumed. Most businesses see the first changes within one to three months; competitive categories take longer. Because answers vary between conversations, we report ranges over dated samples.
Not always. If your current site is crawlable and can carry the entity pages, structured data and service content, we work with it. If it blocks crawlers, hides its content behind scripts, or contradicts your Google listing, a rebuilt site is the fastest fix, and we build those by hand.
The analysis is free. Everything after that is scoped to your business once we know what the analysis found. We don't publish a fixed price list because the right plan is genuinely different for every business. You'll always know the number before work starts.
